About Bryan Woods

Bryan received his bachelor's degree in meteorology from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, MA. He briefly interned at WHDH-TV in Boston, MA, where he learned that he was not cut out for broadcast meteorology. He recently spent two summers working on a NSF sponsored research project in Atlanta, GA, studying evapotranspiration rates in urban forest canopies. Other research projects he has participitated in include a study of photovoltaic modules for use pyranometers to measure incoming solar radiation, and a case studying of a New England mixed precipitation Nor'Easter. Bryan is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Geophysics at Yale University in New Haven, CT. The weather and the natural world around us all has always represented Bryan's life passion. He also greatly enjoys sharing that world and passion with others around him. His passion has taken him to the New England shores during blizzards, the Storm Prediction Center, National Severe Storm Laboritory, and coincidently the Florida Renewable Energy Center during Hurricane Charley.
