Tropical Storm Eugene forms in the Eastern Pacific

We are now dealing with a new a tropical storm, Eugene, in the Pacific. Eugene is currently has sustained winds at 70 mph and a central pressure of 989 mb. Eugene is moving west out to sea and looks to pose no threat to land. Eugene is expected to strengthen slightly over the next few hours before moving over cooler water and weakening.
